Overview
BRLQ plate heat exchangers use corrugated plates as heat-transfer surfaces. High heat-transfer coefficients, compact dimensions, low heat loss and a flexible plate arrangement allow the area to be increased or decreased for changing duty. The units can be dismantled for cleaning and are used for heating, cooling, condensation, evaporation and heat recovery in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, food, pharmaceutical and district-heating applications.
Selection and operation
Oil and water flow countercurrently in the lubrication system. Use industrial cooling water; filter or settle river water before use. Check the heat load, inlet temperatures and allowable pressure drops.
