Overview
NRY heaters heat hydraulic and lubricating fluids, and other non-corrosive liquids. A metal-sheathed tubular heating element fits inside a protective sleeve made of seamless steel or stainless-steel tube. The oil-resistant asbestos-rubber gasket is rated to 300 °C. A gasketed flange secures the heater to the reservoir.
Selection and operation
The heating section must be fully immersed; heating a moving liquid is preferred. The specific surface loading must suit the oil and operating conditions.
