Elastic rubber blocks absorb torque fluctuations. The coupling is used with substantial shocks and reversing operation.
Construction
Rubber blocks transmit torque with a small elastic twist angle. The elastic section requires no lubrication.

High-torque equipment with shock loads, reversing or reciprocating motion.
Selection
The catalogue gives a typical elastic twist angle of 1°–2°. Torsional-vibration selection must consider shock sources on both driving and driven sides.

Specify equipment type, transmitted power, operating speed, load characteristics, both shaft diameters and extension lengths, shaft-end separation and installation space. Include any brake, dynamic-balancing or elastic-element requirements.
