Product overview
Short cylindrical grinding media. End faces, side surfaces and edge transitions form the working surface. Specifications must include diameter, length and end profile, with configuration matched to the mill process.
Design and configuration
High-chromium, low-chromium and multi-alloy cast cylpebs are product groups. Diameter-to-length ratio, end shape and size proportions are part of the specification. A ball diameter must not be treated as an equivalent cylpeb diameter.
Grinding balls and cylpebs · Dimension definitions
A ball is defined by diameter d. Cylpebs also require length L and the end profile to be specified. Structural and application illustrations; confirmed equipment drawings govern geometry, dimensions and configuration.
Operating conditions and installation
Use the original process configuration or a verified alternative. When comparing balls and cylpebs, assess product size distribution, energy input, media consumption and breakage under comparable conditions.
Inspection and maintenance
Record consumption together with size loss, shape changes, edge damage, spalling and breakage. Relate these observations to operating time, throughput and any changes in material or media configuration.
Information for enquiries
Provide media type, diameter, length, end shape, size proportions, required mass and charging purpose. For a proposed change, describe the existing charge, wet or dry duty, feed and product size, and the intended improvement.
Product illustration
Illustrations show typical structural arrangements. Materials, dimensions, interfaces and supply scope are subject to the approved drawings and technical documents.
