A rubber tyre connects the two coupling halves. Its elastic deformation transmits torque and cushions shocks in the shaft system.
Construction and maintenance
Check the tyre, clamping arrangement and both bores. Inspect fasteners and elastic elements after installation.
Technical specifications
Torque, speed, bores and installation dimensions must all correspond to the same size.

Specify power, operating speed, load characteristics, both shaft diameters and extension lengths, shaft-end separation and installation conditions. Include brake, dynamic-balancing and elastic-element requirements where applicable.
